How to build a doggy trot line…Strout style

The houndlies got a trot line today instead of an invisible fence.

Jack is such an escape artist, and Ollie is so scrawny that I figured a 150 foot zip-line on a grassy hill might be a better place to start.

They are mostly inside dogs, so they’re only out there to go to the bathroom and get their wiggles out before returning to the couches and air conditioning where they belong.

To make a trot line practical, it needed to be taller than the bucket of the tractor, so it didn’t get in the way of any potential farmer-ing.

That being said, the bucket of the tractor was the ideal candidate for stringing up the line.

The result was grand…2 humans basking in the success of a successful project, two happy houndlies and one tractor approved trot line. Tadaaaa!

Hats off to my dad and sister Ruthie for being the engineers and muscle behind this extravaganza…you two seriously rock!

about
I'm a curious lady, unashamedly myself, tall and quirky with a big smile and a passion for living life, loving people and changing the world.

Some things I enjoy are asking questions, Exploring new places, innovation, chivalry, being challenged, creativity, ballroom dancing, tennis, learning new things, whimsy, singing jazz and harmony, my dog, Scruffy Jack, good conversations and finding the joy in everyday life.

These are my adventures.
